Poutnik

Beer was brewed in the new brewery at the end of 1899. At that time, the brewery did not lack any of the amenities of that time. Steam drive, specially designed and spacious rooms.

After nationalization in 1948, the brewery was incorporated into Horácká pivovara s.p. and later became Jihočeská pivovara n.p.

After the fall of socialism, the descendants of the “right-wingers” demanded the return of the brewery, but the dispute dragged on for 10 years and the brewery still belonged to the disintegrating South Bohemian Brewery. After several lawsuits and appeals, the court decided that the property would not be returned and the brewery would be privatized.

In 2001, the brewery was bought by the leather goods company DUP, which made major changes to the Pelhřimovský brewery.
The brewery receives the trade name PUTNIK, the company’s marketing changes, and most importantly, the technological process of beer brewing changes. This creates a new beer on the market, beer full of flavor and stable quality.
