Bronze Medal of the World Beer Cup 2014 in the Baltic Porters category.

Gold Medal of the European Beer Star 2013 for the best beer in the Baltic Porters category.

KOMES PORTER is a piece of history, it refers to the eighteenth-century tradition of drinking porters in the Baltic countries. Their popularity can be proved by the fact that in the years of splendor they constituted a third of the market. In your hands we put a perfectly balanced, dark strong beer with a strong taste. Slow fermentation at low temperature in open vats and long, at least 3-month aging allowed the beer to take on character and reach the fullness of its complex nature. Porter’s bouquet also matures in a bottle. Time favors him.

TIME IS ITS MOST VALUABLE INGREDIENT

Over the course of 18 months of shelf life, Komes changes its taste.

We brewed our beers unhurriedly, devoting a lot of time and care to them – enjoy them in the same way, let them be the source of your lazy pleasure. Beer matured in a bottle.

Non-mainstream beers Specialty brewing is part of the brewery's strategy, moving away from mainstream beers in favor of special beers. Our beers are prepared with exceptional care to reproduce the most characteristic features of the style, with the use of unique technologies and raw materials, with respect for tradition, they are aged for a long time. Open fermentation - a unique method of brewing beer The Fortuna Brewery in Miłosław is one of the few breweries in Poland where traditional, open fermentation vats are used. Beer in open vats is fermented the way nature intended: without unnecessary acceleration, traditionally, with attention to the taste of beer. Thanks to the free access to oxygen, the yeast has ideal conditions for development, which results in a unique, fresh taste and rich aroma of real beer.
