Baltic Porter is a style strongly associated with Poland. It is a dark, strong, extractive beer, whose captivating taste is born during long aging. In a word, a classic! However, porter is also an excellent base for creating new, intriguing sensations for the palate. This is how Porter Warmiński in Wiśnia was created.
To the Warmian Porter aged for half a year, we add natural cherry juice and age again. We do not sweeten, we do not flavor. We only allow the roasted, chocolate sweetness of beer to harmonize with the sour and dry fruitiness of cherries. The effect is staggering! Beer takes on a new dimension. It remains opaque black, and the presence of a fruity accent betrays only the color of the foam. While in the basic version it is creamy-beige, after adding cherries it gains a slightly reddish tint. In the aroma, next to the typical porter notes of dark chocolate, coffee or chocolates, there is a much lighter, slightly sour note of cherry fruitiness.
Porter Warmiński with Cherry tastes like the best Belgian pralines. It is dessert, full of taste, chocolate, velvety, and a note of noble alcohol gently caresses and warms the palate. All this, balanced with a slightly sour, even dry cherry, creates a beautifully harmonized composition with surprisingly high drinkability.
