In the heart of western Poland, 70 km from Poznań, in the charming town of Siedlec, a family business was established in 1982, then run by brothers – Jerzy and Leszek Markiewicz. The company started its activity in the alcohol industry in 1989, organizing the import of Istria vermouth to Poland. The next steps in the development of the business include launching its own bottling and expanding imports with high-quality wines, mainly French, and then also cognac and brandy.

The products created by the owners of Dębowa Polska express the deep Polish heritage of flavored vodkas and refer to the great true passion of Mr. Jerzy Markiewicz and his fascination with nature, beauty, the mystery of the forest and the art of hunting. A rare gem – the centuries-old forests of western Poland are nature’s nest and home to wild boars, wolves and many other animals. This inspired Jerzy Markiewicz in the early 1990s to create a vodka recipe with a unique composition of aromas derived from the forest: oak and elderberry.
