Color and appearance: Turbid light beer. This beer has not been filtered, which gives it a hazy appearance.
Odour: The hoppy aromas of beer are due to cold hopping, in which Citra and Mosaic hops are added in cold aging.
Taste: In addition to hops, which is added in cold aging. Our brewer uses 3 other hops in the brewhouses.
This slightly hoppy beer perfectly quenches thirst.

Beer brewing is a centuries-old tradition at the Appelhoek site in Melle. The earliest traces of brewing activity in this place date back to 1654. In 1904, Léon Huyghe starts working at the local brewery. In 1925, Léon Huyghe joins the brewery with his son Albert and son-in-law Louis Droesbeque and the brewery is officially renamed L. Huyghe Brewery. Today, Alain De Laet, the fourth generation of Huyghe, mixes in the brewhouses. A baby elephant born in 1989 has grown into an international icon.
