Austria Hofstetten Granitbock Wildbrett is a unique edition of the first sour beer from the Hofstetton brewery, based on their Granitbock.
The beer was matured in Raboso red wine barrels from the Italian winery Sandre Vini, which allowed naturally occurring bacteria to transform it into this beautiful sour beer. Brettanomyces yeast gave the beer a wild and fresh feel, while lactic acid bacteria added an acidity that surprisingly combines with the malt-roast base to create an extraordinary, almost unparalleled complexity that provides a new sensation with every sip.
