It is called the best spice in the world, but this miracle is rarely used for drinks. We, of course, decided to change this – and added monosodium glutamate (MSG).
Monosodium glutamate conquers flavors and introduces umami notes, making the dish take on a full, “meaty” character. In this beer it happens similarly – instead of ordinary table salt (sodium chloride), we used its better Asian counterpart, obtaining aftertastes associated with meat dishes – in beer!
We added coriander and a lot of acid, and we made sure that MSG FROM SPACE did not have too much alcohol. This makes it the perfect beer for a gryla.
