The origins of the Johnnie Walker brand date back to 1819. It was then that only fourteen-year-old John Walker sold his parents’ farm to open a store. He sold alcohols there, including those produced by himself. In 1867, John’s son, who had taken over the business after his father’s death, released Walker’s Old Highlands blend. This blend was the precursor of very popular versions of Black Label or Red Label. In the fifties, the brand achieved great success: Johnnie Walker whisky became the best-selling whisky in the world. Marketing at a very high level certainly contributed to this. Such a well-known image of the “walking man”, which is the symbol of the brand, was designed by a cartoonist named Tom Browne in 1908. Currently, Johnnie Walker is owned by alcohol giant DIAGEO.

Johnnie Walker A Song of Fire is one of two new whisky variants created on the basis of “Game of Thrones”.
Whisky inspired by House Targaryen and dragons, “A Song of Fire” offers a lighter flavor, the basis of which is formed by notes of fruit, spices and caramel. The whole is complemented by subtle, sweet smoke, referring to dragon fire, which flows not only in Targaryen blood, but also in the new Johnnie Walker whisky “Game of Thrones”.
Created in Cameronbridge, Cardhu and Caol Ila distilleries, the Scottish blend “A Song of Fire” offers a delicate but distinctly sweet taste, accompanied by a smooth finish.
The smoky note perceptible in the smell and taste brings to mind both fire and air – two elements inextricably linked with dragons.
