Cormorant ZULA – Zula Dry Hopping

We are very pleased to present another beer in which we want to present forgotten (or maybe undiscovered) varieties of Polish hops.

After Octavian, who presented Octavia hops, the time has come for Zula, who is to present the qualities of hops of the same name!

Zula is Jung’s sister hops. It was created as a result of the search for superbitter Polish varieties. Unfortunately – or rather “fortunately” – instead of giving bitterness, Zula decided to go her own way and began to charm with the complex aroma of fruit and delicate citrus. As a result, the corporate “career” of this variety of hops ended before it could begin. And hops themselves did not become widespread as an industrial variety.

Fortunately, the power of craftsmanship is not industrialization, but above all people who completely devote themselves to their passion. Thanks to people like Paweł Piłat from PolishHops, Zula survived in Chmielniki, and we can use it in our beers. Thanks to such cooperation, we can preserve this hop from oblivion, show that it is part of our brewing heritage, and above all brew light, complex and perfect for summer weather beer with it! In Zula we find the aroma of peaches, delicate notes of mandarin and red red fruits ripening in the summer sun!

Therefore, we present a beer that in a tasty and drunken way shows that Poles do not have geese and have their hops, and at the same time perfectly suits the hot summer weather, combining the nobility of classic European hop varieties with a fruit twist straight from the Lublin region.
