The characterful Mc CHOUFFE delights dark beer lovers all over the world. Its characteristic taste, dark ruby color and delicate creamy foam make it a unique beer. Mc CHOUFFE is also characterized by spicy aromas of anise and licorice, perfectly complemented by full notes of caramel. Despite its robustness, the Mc CHOUFFE is surprisingly smooth. It even reveals delicious fruity notes, especially pears, as well as a very slight hint of bitterness at the end of the palate. With an 8% alcohol content, just like LA CHOUFFE, Mc CHOUFFE is appreciated with the same lightness as its older blonde sister.

During lunch break, one of Chris's colleagues said with his mouth full, "You should call your beer Oumpf!" "Oumpf," Chris replied, his friend swallowing a bite of food and came out for the first time with the word "Chouffe." It meant absolutely nothing, but after sleeping on it for several nights and thinking about it, Chris was convinced. His co-founder reacted the same as him: "Chouffe means nothing!" But he too, after several nights of reflection, changed his mind. So they released this word that meant nothing to the world.
