Brugal 1888 is a super premium rum of the highest quality. It was introduced to the market in 2010, and its unique feature is double maturation – that is, aging for 14 years in two stages: in American oak barrels after bourbon and in Pedro Ximenes sherry casks.
Deep, roasted color resembling syrup in consistency hides the excellent properties of rum. The complex smell reveals dried fruits and spices, the aroma of dark chocolate , roasted coffee and cinnamon. The taste is full and perfectly balanced. Perfectly smooth with touches of toffee, caramel, wood, vanilla and licorice.
The finish is wonderful – surprisingly long, and at the same time delicate and sweet.
