RUM DICTADOR XO INSOLENT 40% 0,7L – Colombia

Originating from Colombia, Dictador rum is a modern and luxurious product, perfectly suited to the current lifestyle and people demanding something more from it. Colombia is one of the three largest producers of sugar cane in the world, hence the natural fact that rum is produced in the country.
At the same time, this rum greatly appreciates traditional values and emphasizes its own origins, eagerly sharing the history of a brand that is already more than a century old.
The brand was created by Severo Arango y Ferro, which appeared in the city of Cartagena de Indias in present-day Colombia. Severo was not a very popular person, because his task in the colonial lands of Spain in South America was to collect taxes for the Spanish Kingdom. The hero of this short paragraph quickly received the nickname Dictador from the local population – we specifically use the name of the brand so that this fragment indicates where its origin comes from.

In 1913, almost 180 years after the myth of Dictador was born, the Colombiana distillery was established. The recipes were created by Don Julio Arango y Parra, who spent years digging up the remains of information related to rum production. Currently, Don Julio’s grandson, Master Blender Hernan Parra, is responsible for production, which continues the family tradition.

Dictador XO INSOLENT is made from the unique fermentation of the so-called “Virgin Sugar Cane” – a type of honey derived from sugar cane. Then it is distilled in old, antique copper stills and then goes to European oak barrels, in which previously stayed sweet wines Porto and Sherry. Master Blender uses all his skills to create the most exquisite rum blend, which is approved for bottling only after reaching the highest level.
The liquor is composed of distillates aged 25-30 years.
