Amber color with rich white foam. The bouquet is a complex fruit whole (banana), alcohol, notes of raisins and other dried fruits, with a hint of caramel, in taste gently reminiscent of sweet syrup. The beer somehow melts in your mouth with a slight bitterness in the background.
The abbey is located in the Belgian Ardennes, south of the city of Namur, near the picturesque village of Denée. Thirty-three monks live, pray and work in the Abbey of Maredsous, observing the Rule of St. Benedict. This tradition dates back to the VI century.
Dedication and hospitality are the most important values in Maredsous Abbey. A library that contains over 400,000 titles, including some that are over a thousand years old!

PRODUCENT - Duvel
In addition to pure spring water, which is the main ingredient of beer, barley is the most important raw material. The barley must germinate for five days in the malting house, after which the malt remains. The color of malt, and therefore of beer, depends on the temperature. Duvel gets its typical bitterness by adding different varieties of aromatic Slovenian and Czech hops. We use only exclusive hops, which are famous for their consistently excellent quality.
