Beer with a predominant malt taste. The origins of this beer in the monk’s recipe are reflected in his cordiality. The Pope of Piw, Conrad Seidl, describes it this way: “Almost black with a very light red tint, sensational, festive foam and a truly unusual scent that at first glance evokes visions of greaves. The first flavor has a mild fullness with an accompanying coffee note, which becomes more dominant with the aftertaste. There is very little sweetness that you can often try with doppelbock beer.” Ayinger Celebrator has been ranked among the best beers in the world by the Chicago Testing Institute several times and has won numerous medals.
