The third beer that we froze in the barrel room of the Fortuna Brewery is komes Rusian Imperial Stout – concentrated and then aged for 6 months in oak bourbon barrels.
For aging we used bourbon barrels Four Roses and Woodford Reserve (including the Double Oaked variant). Our frozen Russian Imperial Stout is essential and has a consistency similar to a liqueur. In the aroma you can feel candied cherries, the taste of roasted notes, chocolate and roasted wood – the whole rounded with a powerful dose of vanilla.
