A September trip to Estonia to Pühaste Brewery resulted in the cooperation Distant Hum – Imperial Stout brewed with Buckwheat Honey. We used organic buckwheat honey for brewing. We received a thick Imperial Stout with a distinct floral note, chocolate flavored, sweet with a counter of roasted malts.

PRODUCENT - Maltgarden Puhaste
For Maltgarden, beer is primarily a wealth of aromas and flavors that tempt the senses. Looking for a metaphor for this state, they thought of a blooming garden. In its beer version, malt had to appear as the starting point of each recipe. This garden also has the intensity of hops, the taste of the barrel and the wildness of the yeast. The co-founder and main brewer is Andrzej Miler.
The beginnings of Pühaste Brewery date back to 2011, when Eero, our main brewer, created his first craft beers. His test beers, brewed in a summer house in the village of Pühaste in the Valga district, have won high marks among friends. Further "Gypsy" brewing has brought much good feedback to the wider community of craft brewers from Estonia and abroad. Pühaste opened its own brewery in Tartu on September 10, 2016.
