Baltic Porter is a style that has been an important part of Põhjal’s history from the very beginning. From the beginning we knew that our first Öö had to be the Imperial Baltic Porter, which we have been brewing continuously ever since and we had the pleasure of spreading our love for this style around the world.
This year we kick off the annual celebration of this beer style by kicking off Baltic Porter Day and releasing a new beer to give this style the attention it fully deserves.
A true celebration of Baltic Porter, this new beer contains a luxuriously rich malt base with flavors of toasted rye bread, red berries and dark chocolate and matures on Palo Santo wood. Native to South America and known as “sacred wood” in Spanish, it adds aromatic notes of vanilla, roasted almonds, eucalyptus and fresh mint, with a long, smooth finish.
