PORTO VALDOURO TAWNY PORT is a wonderful, aromatic, fortified wine straight from Portugal. Extremely popular liquor with a voltage of 19%.
It is characterized by a pleasant, sweet taste, as befits a real port wine. Produced from selected grapes of Touriga Nacional and Touriga Francesa. A wine of exceptional strength, which should be drunk slowly and in moderation. Extremely delicious, but quite quickly enters the head. Sweet and aromatic, often proposed in the form of a tasty dessert.
The taste is very fruity, with an oak accent. Noticeable raspberry and fig with the addition of caramel and nutty notes. It tastes best slightly chilled.
Fortified Portuguese wine, made from grapes harvested in the valley of the Douro River in the north of the country, in its middle course. Porto matures and is bottled in the city of Vila Nova de Gaia, where it was formerly transported in barrels by river (now overland) from the Alto Douro region, where it is made. The harvested grapes are crushed and then fermented until the alcohol level reaches approx. 7%. Then wine spirit, aguardente, is added (in a ratio of 1:4), resulting in a wine with an alcohol content of approx. 20%.
