Im Durchschnitt blieb der Grand Cru von RODENBACH deutlich länger in den Eichenfässern (“Foods”) der “Bierkathedrale” Roeselare, was zu einer ausdrucksstärkeren Version des “Flandern-Rotbraunen Bier”-Stils führte. RODENBACH Grand Cru besteht zu 1/3 aus jungem Bier und zu 2/3 aus Bier, das zwei Jahre in Eiche gereift ist. Das Ergebnis ist ein komplexes Bier mit viel Holz und Estern, Wein und mit einem sehr langen Nachgeschmack, genau wie Grand Cru Wein. Michael Jackson nannte dieses Bier zu Recht “World Classic” und “Belgian Burgundy”.
