Captain Morgan Black Spiced is a double dark, very aromatic alcohol with notes of spices, butter and chocolate, which was created from Caribbean rum. It is aged in double-fired oak barrels and mixed with carefully selected spices for a taste as bold as Captain Hentry Morgan himself dared. The label resembles parchment with embossing and copper elements, which also refers to the era of the captain. The most interesting element appears after drinking alcohol, because on the back of the label the history of the last adventure of the Captain is described and his “dark side” is revealed. The taste is noticeable notes of vanilla, cloves, milk chocolate and nuts. It tastes perfect in chilled shots.

It all started in the 17th century when a Welshman, Sir Henry Morgan, sailed to the West Indies and stayed on a tropical island in the Caribbean. He was well respected by his crew and made a name for himself in every port he stopped at, to the point of becoming governor of Jamaica, he lived as an incredibly wealthy man drinking rum on his sugar plantation where he remained until his death in 1688. The company decided to name their product after him because of his "legend and character", which the marauding pirate certainly had, as well as his extensive and not necessarily flattering achievements. Like other spirits, rum relies on fermentation, and fermentation has been around for a long time.
