Like the dragon at the top of the city, Gulden Draak has been one of the best beers in the world for years. It is a dark tripel, which in itself makes it a unique beer, but the complex flavor with notes of caramel, roasted malt and coffee makes it unique.

For secondary fermentation, wine yeast is used, which determines the unparalleled taste and ensures a long-term evolution of the taste (= live beer). The older the beer, the more aroma it acquires and the fuller its taste and color.

The Draak guilder is easy to drink as an aperitif, dessert or simply when you have time to savor. This “barley wine” goes perfectly with stews and in stews, in particular with Ghent stew.
