PRODUCENT - Tequila
Tequila - a high-proof Mexican alcoholic drink, made from the fermented juice of the blue agave (Agave tequilana). The name comes from the city of Tequila, the center of the production of the liquor. It is not entirely clear when distillation began to be used in Mexico, or before the arrival of the Spanish colonizers. It is known, however, that it was popularized in the 17th century after the arrival of Europeans. In Poland, it is common to drink tequila in glasses (so-called shots) together with various additives: Blanco ("silver tequila") - with salt and lemon (or lime) Oro ("gold tequila") - with cinnamon and orange (or the same as Blanco). The drinker first licks the salt/cinnamon sprinkled on the joint of the thumb and forefinger, then drinks the contents of the glass and bites on a lemon/orange/lime. In the case of aged tequila, it is consumed on its own, sipping from a special glass.
