The starter is definitely what its name suggests, i.e. a drink that casually opens the evening. Very light, low alcohol content, deeply fermented, and therefore extremely drinkable. Sour in taste, vividly carbonated, low bitter. Crisp and airy. Fruity notes come from American and Polish hops, and a slight hint of pepper and herb from yeast.
Saison style is the king of beers of the spring-summer season and we wanted our Starter to be like that.
