This is IPA in a light version, or – session version. We wanted to get a beer that is rich, but at the same time very drinkable, which does not knock you off your feet like the “traditional”, stronger IPA. You can just drink it several glasses in a row.
The aroma of mandarins, grapefruits and berries is harmoniously combined in it with resinous notes and undergrowth. Bold citrus bitterness and moderate alcoholic strength do not dominate the beer, they only remind you that you are dealing with IPA. Light golden, slightly hazy, with creamy foam.
Piece of Cake is a great beer to start flirting with aromatic American IPAs. It’s hard to believe how aromatic hops can be!
