Three Buddies WHEELER – Irish Dry Stout

Wheeler is our Irish dry stout, brewed according to the “Cork school”, so in the direction of a bit more fullness and complexity of taste compared to the world-famous stout from Dublin.

Expect aromas of roasted barley, chocolate and solid espresso, and in the taste additionally pleasant maltiness, which we tried to keep at such a level that it only balances bitterness and flammability.

The name of the beer itself is our mini-tribute to Daniel Wheeler, a Briton who in 1818 was born in 1818. He patented an innovative way of drying malt that allows it to be obtained in almost any shade – from light to black – and without the aroma of smoking.

We saturated the beer with nitrogen, not carbon dioxide as usual. Do not pour gently on the wall, but with impetus, a strong stream, preferably so as to aim at the bottom of the glass. Thanks to this, you excite the gas contained in the beer, which will build a wonderful, thick foam with tiny bubbles. The idea is that the beer in the glass should be very gently saturated, which perfectly increases its drinkability, and a kind of “filter” made of dense foam is to add a sense of creaminess and fullness.
