The emerald brewer Jiří Váša worked from 1957 to 1971 as a sub-breeder with the legend of Czech brewers and with his teacher and mentor František Bittner Jr. In 1971-1980 he became a brewer at Pivovar Polička, which was then part of Pivovary Hradec Králové, where he worked until 2007.
