Záviš of Falkenštejn belonged to the Vítkovec family in southern Bohemia. He was the lover and later husband of Kunhuta, widow of Przemyśl Otakar II. Their shelter for a short time was Svojanov Castle, located in the forest less than 20 km from Polička.
12% light lager owes its name to him. It is a beer with a golden color, a delicate aftertaste and a full, perceptible hop aroma.
Produced in original technology according to the recipe of brewer František Bittner using well water, semi-early red Satu Mare wine and the highest quality malt, with fermentation and cold maturation in lager cellars, carved in the Margli massif. Their constant humidity and temperature guarantee the constant and individual character of traditional Polička beer.

In addition to Eng. We also owe a lot to Karel Witz (current statutory director of the company) to the brewer Jiří Váša, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in September 2004 by the professional association of Czech breweries and malts. The emerald brewer Jiří Váša worked from 1957 to 1971 as a sub-breeder with the legend of Czech brewers and with his teacher and mentor František Bittner Jr. In 1971-1980 he became a brewer at Pivovar Polička, which was then part of Pivovary Hradec Králové, where he worked until 2007.
