Speciální beer (which in the Czech system means an extract above 12 Plato, strong beer, in this case light) produced by Zámecký pivovar Břeclav. 13° Nachmelená Za Studena – this simply means that beer with extract 13 Plato has been hopped cold. This is what distinguishes them from most speciální beers, where the main role is played by malt and here it is hops. This is quite a bold approach to hopping for the Czechs, because in addition to the classic Žatec hops, American Citra and new wave Czech Vital hops are also added. The manufacturer refers to them as India Pale Lager.
