Bright and light, Maredsous 6% is still the beer that monks drink with every dinner. Delicate hoppy aromas, fruity aftertaste, this refreshing beer has all the characteristics of a classic Belgian top-fermented beer.
Clean and golden with impressive white foam. The beginning is honey, lightly smoked and with a subtle caramel touch. The beer has a delicate bitterness, but you can also count on a clear and pleasant hops. The whole is complemented by a flawless aftertaste.
The abbey is located in the Belgian Ardennes, south of the city of Namur, near the picturesque village of Denée. Thirty-three monks live, pray and work in the Abbey of Maredsous, observing the Rule of St. Benedict. This tradition dates back to the VI century.
Dedication and hospitality are the most important values in Maredsous Abbey. A library that contains over 400,000 titles, including some that are over a thousand years old!

In addition to pure spring water, which is the main ingredient of beer, barley is the most important raw material. The barley must germinate for five days in the malting house, after which the malt remains. The color of malt, and therefore of beer, depends on the temperature.
