“Duchesse de Bourgogne” is a Flemish red-brown mixed fermented beer.
Duchesse Chocolade/Cherry is a rare version of the cult beer that is Duchesse de Bourgogne. It owes its character to the addition of 20 kg of Belgian cherries for every 100 liters of beer. The whole is enriched with chocolate extract. Thanks to this, a dessert beer with a chocolate-cherry taste is created, which will satisfy both red wine lovers as well as gourmets. The sweetness of chocolate balances the cherry acidity well.
It is a sweet and fruity beer with a pleasant fresh aftertaste. The beer is brewed from deep-roasted malts and slightly aromatic hops with a low bitter content. After the main fermentation and aging, “Duchesse de Bourgogne” matures for many months in oak barrels. The tannins present in the oak give the “Duchesse de Bourgogne” a fruity character.
“Duchesse de Bourgogne” has a full, sweet and fresh taste: the ruby gem of alc. 6.2% vol. , which is best served in a cup-shaped glass at 8 to 12°C.
