True to its name “Leann Folláin”, from Gallic “full stout”, our full, extra Irish stout is a fantastic example of how good stout can taste. The flavors of dark chocolate tones with a hint of vanilla are combined with a mild mocha aroma. Opaque black look with tanned head, this luxurious stout has classic European hop bitterness, giving a refreshing bite after the chocolate falls.
This full Irish stout is the older brother of our Irish Stout, with a strong malt base including a hearty serving of chocolate malt, making it a bolder, audacious version. Extended mashing and cooking times help to create the aroma of roasted coffee with a hint of biscuit that shines through in the taste. This stout is built on strong old-style hop varieties that give it a spicy bitterness that perfectly balances malty aromas. This higher gravity stout allows for a complete weakening of time during the fermentation process to achieve the required ABV and satisfying fullness of taste.
