“Appetite for Life” is Roggenbier, which is characterized by pronounced turbidity and oily, thick consistency. The taste is cereal, rye and spice. You can also feel distinct malty notes, although the delicate bitterness and hop aroma are also present in this beer.
Many of Roggen’s qualities are reminiscent of wheat beer (Hefeweizen), such as notes of banana, clove and delicate citrus in aroma. The slight sourness derived from rye and yeast is also standard for this style. Beer has a high saturation, which adds to its spontaneity.
