Jubilee beer for the 10th anniversary of the Amager brewery

Marianne Daddano had had enough. She was fed up with the fact that she hardly saw her husband Dario after he became the undisputed head of the Chicago Outfit, the most notorious Mafia syndicate in the city. She was fed up with the dangers of being a gangster’s wife, but perhaps most of all she was fed up with the fact that her beloved Mint Juleps tasted like toxic waste after five years of prohibition, since terrible moonshine from Indiana replaced the proper sour puree from the Old Dominion. Not surprisingly, her mood was often cloudy, and only her furry Buzz hybrid — named after her favorite vibrator — brought some joy. Her husband Dario, still very much in love with his wife, felt unhappy about the whole situation. He was determined to use his new secret hobby as a home brewer to bring some joy back into his wife’s life. A gangster boss by day, a home brewer by night, Dario used more than six months to develop a beer so good that he was convinced it would make Marianne forget her Mint Juleps. And he was right. When he served the final version of his extremely strong Pale Barley Wine, named after his wife, Marianne blushed first, then coughed, and finally smiled. For the first time in years, they shared a bedroom that night. Years later, “Marianna The Moody MILF” would be the primary brand at Dario’s Daddano & Dadolnikov Brewing Company, Chicago’s first craft brewery. Enjoy!

PRODUCENT -  Amager

Amager Bryghus is a Danish microbrewery located on the island of Amager. It was founded in 2007 by Morten Valentin Lundsbak and Jacob Storm in an old warehouse formerly owned by the Church of Scientology. His first beer to make the Ratebeer Top 50 list was an Imperial Stout called Hr. Frederiksen. This particular beer was created to celebrate a friend of the owners, Peter Frederiksen, who helped them set up the brewery throughout the year. Thanks to the success of Mr. Frederiksen, they established cooperation with Shelton Brothers and began exporting to the United States. Since 2009, they have been on the list of the 100 best Ratebeer breweries.
