How strong and intense can you make black beer without “cheating on the scales” by adding suddies, syrups or other easily fermentable material? We wanted to look at this in an experiment years ago. The experiment was so well received that Double Black Mash is one of our most popular beers today. Incredibly rich, full-bodied, and sticky – someone described it as “engine oil”! A beer that you sip and enjoy slowly within yourself, but that can also be drunk with chocolate desserts or strong cheeses.

PRODUCENT - Amager
Amager Bryghus is a Danish microbrewery located on the island of Amager. It was founded in 2007 by Morten Valentin Lundsbak and Jacob Storm in an old warehouse formerly owned by the Church of Scientology. His first beer to make the Ratebeer Top 50 list was an Imperial Stout called Hr. Frederiksen. This particular beer was created to celebrate a friend of the owners, Peter Frederiksen, who helped them set up the brewery throughout the year. Thanks to the success of Mr. Frederiksen, they established cooperation with Shelton Brothers and began exporting to the United States. Since 2009, they have been on the list of the 100 best Ratebeer breweries.
