If you’re old enough, you might remember the American soft country rock band Poco. You probably remember their 1976 hit “Rose of Cimarron”. This song told the criminal legend of Rose Dunn. Born in 1875 in Oklahoma, when it was still called Indian Territory. Despite her humble family background, she managed to go to school in a convent. Her brothers were troubled boys who later became petty criminals, but from them she learned to ride horses, tie ropes, and shoot. Because she loved to ride her horse on the shallows of the Cimarron River, she was nicknamed the “Rose of Cimarron”. When she was just 15 years old, she became involved with George “Bittercreek” Newcomb. The gang with whom Newcomb moved revered her for her beauty and her calm and courteous manner. For two years they robbed banks, stagecoaches and trains. Rose supported the life of her criminal boyfriend by shopping in town because he was wanted and couldn’t. On September 1, 1893, while several gang members were drinking in a saloon in Ingalls, Oklahoma, a shootout occurred with U.S. marshals. Guns began to roar and bullets flew as Rose Dunn allegedly ran through a hail of bullets to deliver Winchester to her lover.

PRODUCENT -  Amager

Amager Bryghus is a Danish microbrewery located on the island of Amager. It was founded in 2007 by Morten Valentin Lundsbak and Jacob Storm in an old warehouse formerly owned by the Church of Scientology. His first beer to make the Ratebeer Top 50 list was an Imperial Stout called Hr. Frederiksen. This particular beer was created to celebrate a friend of the owners, Peter Frederiksen, who helped them set up the brewery throughout the year. Thanks to the success of Mr. Frederiksen, they established cooperation with Shelton Brothers and began exporting to the United States. Since 2009, they have been on the list of the 100 best Ratebeer breweries.
