Life in the Wild West was tough, and people did what they could to survive. Some went a step further. One such person was Sally Skull. Throughout her life, Sally gained a reputation for being desperate. She is said to have killed 30 men, including at least one of her husbands. She was also known as a horse and cattle thief, however, she was never arrested or spent time in prison. She was born Sarah Jane Newman in Pennsylvania in 1817. Her family moved to Texas in 1823 to join a group of colonists. Sally married Jesse Robinson, a veteran of the first company of Texas Rangers, when she was 16 years old. Jesse was twice her age and worked as a member of the militia. The marriage was unstable, and after 10 years, Jesse filed for divorce. Sally was not given custody of her children, son and daughter, but she had a reputation as a fierce and loving mother. Two weeks after the divorce, Sally married a blacksmith named George Scull. He died in 1849, allegedly at the hand of Sally. Even though Sally married three more times before her death, she retained the surname Scull, which was often spelled as Skull – perhaps for impression. Rumor has it that her name was used to scare the children of the time – “Behave, or Sally Skull will catch you.”

PRODUCENT -  Amager

Amager Bryghus is a Danish microbrewery located on the island of Amager. It was founded in 2007 by Morten Valentin Lundsbak and Jacob Storm in an old warehouse formerly owned by the Church of Scientology. His first beer to make the Ratebeer Top 50 list was an Imperial Stout called Hr. Frederiksen. This particular beer was created to celebrate a friend of the owners, Peter Frederiksen, who helped them set up the brewery throughout the year. Thanks to the success of Mr. Frederiksen, they established cooperation with Shelton Brothers and began exporting to the United States. Since 2009, they have been on the list of the 100 best Ratebeer breweries.
